The longhouse is a unique traditional dwelling place of the indigenous people of Sarawak. It serves as a centre of communal life in Sarawak.
We also have a longhouse right here in our living room!
It serves as Heidi’s bomb shelter, but in the true spirit of communal living, she has now opened up residency privileges to her friends, namely Ginger, by inviting him to play with her in her longhouse.
In time, we hope to see more cats living in the longhouse with Heidi!
Meanwhile, it’s still Heidi’s favourite bomb shelter! She lives in it all the time.
