Dogs never cease to amaze us. Maxma is one of the hundreds of dogs rescued from the streets in Thailand. Life is not easy for them. They must fend for themselves against the many dangers they face each day. Speeding cars, other street dogs, unsafe living conditions, natural disasters and more, are all threats to the stray population. Poor Maxma showed up in a coconut plantation out of nowhere. The community members tried to care for him but quickly noticed he was so terrified he would not stand, walk or eat. The other dogs picked on him, causing him to shut down. They knew he was not safe in this area.

Maxma was soon brought into Soi Dog. It has taken him some time to shake the fear he felt while living on the streets. However, despite a traumatic past, he has worked hard to become more confident each day. While this process is still ongoing, Maxma is ready to find a family who can help him continue to grow.

The bond you create with Maxma will be unbreakable. This loving yet independent boy just needs some time to feel comfortable. If you can help him, he will be a loyal companion.

Over the years Maxma has watched many dogs come and go. We really hope it is his turn next!
