This weekend over 250 dogs were evacuated from dog island a temporary refuge in the heart of the flood zones which had been their refuge for the past 6 weeks.
Due to deteriorating health and population density the dogs were moved over a 48 hour period to temporary emergency shelter constructed at Wildlife Friends of Thailand outside the flood zone.
The cost for removing and treating each dog is around $100, in this instance around $25,000. To those of you who have donated towards saving the animal flood victims - this is what YOUR support makes happen.
