Cow Is Home!! (with 2 Teeth Extracted)

Indy and I drove to the clinic and we reached before 4pm. It was raining heavily. Luckily I had a raincoat, but we parked a bit far, so by the time I got to the clinic, my sports shoes were soaking wet. Luckily Indy was the carrier, so he did not get wet at all.

I will write about Indy’s examination in a later post.

The vet assistant said Cow was already waking up!

I was so relieved!!!

Hi Cow!!!!  He was still a bit groggy.

Two teeth were extracted – the confirmed very rotten one and another premolar next to it, both on the right side, upper palate.

Cow had a proper scaling and his teeth have been polished now. He has the cleanest teeth in the clan!

Indy was examined (details in a later post) and after all the tests were done, Cow had his IV-pod removed and we drove home (Cow, Indy and me). Traffic was heavy as it was after office hours. We reached home in about 40 minutes.

Bunny sniffed at Cow and I let them know that Cow is back and okay first.

I quickly put the ecollar on him. There were 3 stitches, so he might paw at that spot and the stitches might tear. Cannot risk that happening.

Cow was still a groggy, so I thought he would be safer in the cage. I quickly prepared the cage at the patio.

Everyone else was hungry and asked for food. I offered Cow some AD and he ate it up voraciously!! All in, he ate half a can of AD!!  I took a video, but was busy stopping him from pawing his mouth, so the video did not get saved.

But he ATE!!

Cow was prescribed Tramadol (cream for inside of ear) as a painkiller. He was also dewormed at the clinic (but he was angry). There’s still 5 days of antibiotics, but that’s going to be a challenge tonight. I’m sure the surgical site would be painful, with 3 stitches.

You’ll have to stay here for tonight, Cow.

We are home!!

Thank you very much to everyone for rooting for Cow!!

Who has the cleanest teeth in the clan now?

Answer: COW MAU!!

P.S. Cow has a matching cow-e-collar!!
