Sad news. One of the kittens passed away a few days ago. The poor thing probably died from worm infestation. Although the vet dewormed them but it was probably too late. If you remember, the kittens had diarrhoea and two of them were quiet. One of the quiet ones passed away. The other quiet one is still quiet now.

The clinic assistant has taken them home to nurse them. I just spoke with her. She said the kittens vomited worms. This means there must be lots of worms in them.

It is very important that we take young animals whom we are fostering to the vet to check if they are fit to be dewormed. My vet’s protocol is to deworm if they are physically fit enough. Worms are deadly in any young animal. Worms kill.

We hope the three will pull through under the care of the vet’s assistant.
