The “wall” Comes Down
Tweet |
This netting was put up a few days before Chinese New Year in 2018 (last year). At that time, my back was so painful until I could not bend even a little bit to wipe the floor anymore. Cow, Bunny and Indy were spraying nonstop and it was impossible to clean up the room.
A hole was made for Pole and Cleo to come through (the girls don’t spray). Indy could scale (ala-Spider-Cat) the netting very easily, but he also learnt very quickly that he must not spray.
Indy would come in several times a day (yes, scale-in and out effortlessly) and he knew he must not spray and he did not.
But Cow and Bunny could not, so they stayed in the pantry. The girls were very happy because the room no longer smelled.
The “wall” did not manage to keep Cow and Bunny “exiled” for too long, though. Cow would bite whatever reinforcements we put up, he would bite until the hole was big enough for him and Bunny to go through. In the last few months, we had already lost the Battle of the Hole. Cow & Bunny were in whenever they liked, but Bunny, being blind, did not know how to go out. He only knew how to come in. And that posed a problem.
Today I’ve decided that it’s time the “wall” came down.
Yes, it’s time.
Almost done…
DONE!!
The “wall” is down, everyone!!
We had the lower part of the grille re-done some years back, in stainless steel so that it would last longer and not rust. Hence, the unequal height between the last three bars.
Bunny and Indy, it’s down!!
Pole: Makes no difference to me….
Nor to Cleo.
My persistence has paid off…
The netting on the window has also been removed.
Good things come to those who wait…
