Check out these photos of Lonnie, who is going from strength to strength! So many of you got in touch about this poor boy but if you missed his story, we are sharing it here again. Will you please act for homeless animals like him? Please donate now at https://bit.ly/Love_for_Lonnie
Our vets put Lonnie at just over 5 months old. His appearance the day we met him was heart-breaking. This little boy was found wandering the streets and battling chronic skin problems. He also had a large mass on his abdomen, which was diagnosed as an umbilical hernia. He needed surgery to remove this but first, we had to build up his strength.
There is no doubt that Lonnie suffered a great deal, but he is safe now and healing. Imagine if there had been nowhere for him to go? Sadly, this is a very real risk and a constant threat as the Soi Dog shelter continues to operate over capacity.
Please pledge a small gift now that will help to expand the shelter space available to homeless animals, ensuring that no dogs like Lonnie are ever turned away due to a lack of space. Donate now at https://bit.ly/Love_for_Lonnie
While construction work has started on expanding the shelter and building more dog enclosures and enrichment areas, your help is desperately needed to ensure the work can continue and dogs like Lonnie can get the safe haven they urgently need.
Lonnie has now had surgery to remove the hernia and it was a success. Medication funded by people like you mean his skin is gradually healing and although it will take some time, he is expected to make a great recovery. None of this would have been possible without the kind people who donated to help him.
It’s hard to believe, but Lonnie is one of the fortunate ones. Many more like him continue to suffer and desperately need help. We never want to see the day when we have to turn an animal away, but we urgently need your help to create more space.
You have the power to end the suffering for countless animals by helping to provide them with the place of healing they desperately need. Please go to https://bit.ly/Love_for_Lonnie now to donate whatever you can. Thank you.
