Do you know that SARAWAK FORESTRY has initiated a unique hands-on involvement programme for volunteers to learn more about turtle conservation effort? This programme, called Sarawak Sea Turtle Volunteer Programme (SSTVP), is only available from May to September in Talang Satang National Park.

Talang Satang National Park is Sarawak’s first marine national park and home to the #endangered #marine turtles, #GreenTurtle and #HawksbillTurtle.

Through the programme, volunteers will learn how to do #beachpatrolling, locate turtle landings, monitor #turtlenesting activity, tag and measure turtles, transfer eggs to the hatchery, release of hatchlings, data recording and other interesting on-site conservation activities.
