World Wetlands Day Sarawak

Wetlands like the ones found in Rajang-Belawai-Paloh delta in Sarawak contain important mangrove and peat ecosystems. In 2015, WWF-Malaysia conducted a rapid assessment in the delta and discovered its potential in high conservation value for Irrawaddy dolphins and other endangered and protected species.Here’s a short video of a dolphin sighting during our field work. Did you know we had them in Sarawak?
