Dear Dr.Chan,
Do you remember I bought Pretty Mama to the panel clinic to spay back in September, but the operation was aborted because she was suspected to be pregnant. Well, she is definitely pregnant & has given birth to 3 kittens a few weeks ago. I have been feeding her all this while, but fail to track down her hiding place with her kittens. Until last night one of my neighbour told me that the kittens were in his house. They were inside a styrofoam box & I have asked my neighbour to put old cloth/towel to keep them warm. I was surprise to see such big difference in their body size, it is totally like Big, Medium & Extra Small!
I want to bring the family of 4 for a check up. Can you recommend any vet clinic (other than in Subang Jaya) with good reputation and/or experienced Doctor? Because my cat’s regular vet was on a long leave break.
Kindly post this on your blog/website to seek for fosterer for the kittens. As you know, the X-Kittens are the last batch of kittens that I am allow to foster, and now my mom & sister strictly don’t allow me to foster any kittens. My neighbour (where Pretty Mama & her kittens now seek shelter at) are in the midst of moving house & they can’t help to foster nor take care of the kittens. I will post this on Facebook (eg: KTAJ Online Adoption House) after visiting the vet.

I asked Jessy if the kittens have already weaned off mother’s milk as they still look very tiny. Jessy said she would seek the advice of her vet.

Dear Dr.Chan,
I just came back from the vet clinic. According to the vet:- Both kittens are estimated to be 2-3 weeks old. Big kitty is healthy, Medium kitty has conjunctivitis on the right eye. Doctor clean away the puss & prescribe Nicol Eye Drops (Phenylmercuric Nitrate Free). Pretty Mama has an injured right front paw, doctor clean her wound, apply iodine & prescribe antibiotic (Noroclav 50mg) and anti-inflammatory (Beazyme).
Doctor advice not to separate the mother cat & her kittens, as they still need to suck the mother’s milk. Therefore, I’m urgently seeking fosterer for them. When the kittens are weaned off milk, I will take back Pretty Mama, cos she’s the community cat in my street. In the mean time, I will look for adopters for the 2 kittens, by posting on Facebook page & PetFinder.my
P/S: When I went into my neighbour’s compound to search for Pretty Mama & her 3 kittens, I found the Extra small kitty’s body stretch out & harden. The little one did not make it. Sigh….
