Imagine being homeless, in severe pain, and having absolutely nobody to help you. Grape is over 10 years old and should be relaxing with his owner in a loving home, but instead he was laying in the road in the pouring rain wondering if he will ever be saved from this torture. Like millions of other dogs and cats across the country, the streets of Thailand are the only home he’s ever known. While looking for a place to escape the torrential rain, Grape was run over by a car with both wheels crushing his hips. His entire body was in pain. He was unable to walk, infested with fleas and his face was swollen. His tail had also been injured, he was suffering from hair loss on his back end due to a fungal infection and amongst all of that, he was also battling heart-worm.

His recovery will be a long process. Once he arrived in the shelter he was immediately given painkillers and medication. For any hope of him walking again, Grape will need months of physiotherapy. Without the kind people who funded his medical treatment, he would not be alive today.
