To the kind person reading my story, can you help me?

Can you explain why someone slashed me with a knife on my back and left me alone to die? I don’t understand what I did wrong, and don’t think I ever will. My name is Daran and I have been alone on the streets of Thailand my whole life. No one has ever cared about me. Will you? Please go to https://emergency.soidog.org/ert.

It is a hard life for street animals like me. I have had to scavenge through bins just to find small pieces of rotten food to stay alive. Some people are very unhappy for me and other street animals to be around. I have always been friendly to them, but they are scared of me and shout at me to go away. All I wanted is a good meal. I guess someone really didn’t like me that day.

The Soi Dog Foundation hospital was a place I was not used to being so I was obviously very scared, but also relived as I knew they were trying to help me. They said I had a huge slice wound on my back, which had been left so long untreated that is was infested with maggots. Will you please donate now at https://emergency.soidog.org/ert. to help animals like me?

I will always find it hard to understand your kind. I have never wanted to hurt anyone, and I didn’t choose to be born on the streets with no owner to care for and protect me. All I wanted was somewhere safe with food and company, but I wish I had stayed away.

Will you please help animals like me? We don’t know what it means to be loved and looked after. I am in the care of the vets at the Soi Dog shelter now, but without the kind group of people whose donations fund medical treatment for street animals like me, I would have no hope.

Please go now to https://emergency.soidog.org/ert and pledge a few dollars a week to end our suffering. You are all we have.
