SOI DOG FOUNDATION SETS UP TRANSIT CENTER FOR DOGS RESCUED FROM BANGKOK FLOODS!..Soi Dog Foundation has set up a transit center for dogs rescued from Bangkoks flooded streets. Many rescue teams are helping to save dogs from the rising flood water, & these the dogs can now be taken to Soi Dogs new transit center on Sukhumvit Soi 71. Here they will rested & fed before continuing their journey to temporary shelters at Bang Pu & Cha Am, Phetchaburi Province.

Food producer "Nestle" generously donated 1500 kg of dry food to Soi Dog. This food is being used to feed the dogs that arrive at our transit center & also distributed to our rescue boat teams who go around the flooded streets, feeding dogs in need. Thank you Nestle, for your wonderful support!

The property was provided free by a generous Thai business man, once a car showroom/repair shop it is ideal for storing food & rescue supplies to re-stock the boat teams. A group of volunteers spent all day on Friday cleaning the site prior to the arrival of the first dogs. About 3pm our first guests arrived from Ramintra Soi 5, the 8 dogs were picked up overnight, they showed signs of having been standing in water for days. They were fed then released from their cages to stretch their legs & in no time at all, they were all fast asleep. Tomorrow they will make the 3 hour trip to cha Am which will be their home until the waters receed & they can be returned.

Many thanks to our volunteers you did a great job today!
