[Save the planet]
The plastic in our oceans chokes and kills millions of marine animals, specifically one million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals every year. Next Monday in Parliament, MP Louis Ng will be delivering the first-ever motion to combat this plastic problem. Parliament sittings are open to everyone so do drop by Parliament on Monday and support the efforts to save our planet.

[It really is time to end this]
Our excessive use of single-use plastics is killing this planet ๐ข It is a danger to the health of our ecosystems and our own health.
Next Monday (1 Oct), I will be delivering the first-ever Motion in Parliament about combating this plastic problem. I will be calling on the government to take the lead to cut plastic waste by cutting plastic use.
Want to listen to the speech and MEWRโs response? Do drop by Parliament on 1 Oct by 7pm (Info about attending Parliament Sittings: https://www.parliament.gov.sg/visit-learn/visiting).
In the speech I will also urge the government to cut single-use plastics and items from public sector events and implement a discerning and selective carrier bag charge, which can reduce the number of plastic bags used without increasing the use of substitute bags, and without compromising the hygiene of our food or garbage chutes.
See you there and together, letโs combat this plastic problem and save our planet ๐
Please help share this post and spread the word ๐๐
