Pacifying Ms Poldrey Hepburn

So, yesterday, Pole got a fright when I used the Biosilver on her instead of the syringe method. She leapt off the table and was very upset.

This morning, it was time for her quarter-Baytril (it is SO tiny) and Vetri DMG, and if we are lucky, maybe we could syringe in some Biosilver for her gingivitis as well.

She was okay with the Baytril and definitely NOT okay at all with the Vetri DMG. I do wonder why…. None of our cats mind the Vetri DMG.  It’s tasteless.  Pole spat out the DMG…sigh.  And she needs it too, she’s been sneezing again. The cold weather isn’t helping.

We thought of syringing in some saline into her nostrils to help with the runny nose but decided against it. It’s too soon to shock her after yesterday’s mishap. However, we do this for Vincent every morning and he doesn’t mind.  In fact, when the vet does it for him, he absolutely LOVES it. It clears the nostrils and provides relief. The vet taught us that using saline is the best (because of the salt).  Saline will not choke us. If ordinary water is used, it’s likely to cause choking and discomfort (like what we experience when water goes into our nostrils at the swimming pool). But with saline, it’s okay. This reminds that saline solution is used for human nostril irrigation as well and I’ve done that for myself too.

Anyway, we didn’t do it for Pole. It was too risky.

Then, came the Biosilver by syringe – this, she accepted.

Next, time to “kiss and make up”.

Guess it’s okay, Pole?

Pole weighs 2.6kg (no change – that’s good).

Meanwhile, for Ginger…

Nothing beats having a tour of Bunny’s Room. He loves it.

Today is the last day of Ginger’s medicines for his Zurik-inflicted paw wounds. It’s been a week that he has been confined in the house. He still longs to go out to the porch, but we cannot risk that. He’s so easily beaten up by Zurik and Zurik is always around, somehow.

We cannot risk another wound issue because Ginger doesn’t seem to heal quickly from wounds.

Vincent didn’t eat this morning. He weighs 2.7kg as of this morning. Vincent’s weight fluctuates between 2.5kg and 3.0kg, depending on his food intake.

Today, I’m taking Vincent for a joy ride in the car.
