Morocco has been dealing with Rabies since early 1900s. Rabies is still endemic in Morocco today. From this chart alone, culling the dog population DID NOT improve the situation, but effective vaccination and neutralisation DOES.
While the numbers are showing trend of improvement, an annual death of 19 is still unacceptable as Rabies is a preventable disease. Their own report suggested Responsible Pet Ownership and Public Awareness as one of the most effective solutions, not short-sighted mass culling of strays which is counter productive to the effort itself.
We proudly elect ‘Doctors’ into state assemblies or back door senatorship and call them various honorifics. Now please, at least pretend that you are educated.
FYI. Morocco is a country with 99% Muslim population, primarily Sunni (Like Malaysia).
Please bring your dogs for mass vaccination at Balai Raya Desa Wira at Lorong 20 today, from 9am to 2pm.
