Marine turtles play important roles for maintaining healthy marine ecosystems and their survival affects human survival in the long run. It is important to educate the next generation on the importance to protect turtles because their support toward this cause will lend weight to efforts aimed at safeguarding turtles.

It’s the end of day one of the Terengganu Turtle Camp. The highlight of the day was when students walked along the shores and took part in conservation activities such as patrolling the nesting beach and spotted a green turtle laying eggs. The students gained experience to act as conservationists at night looking for turtle eggs, which are collected and relocated to a hatchery.
