Her name is Columbia. Maybe some of you remember her. She was an extremely sick little girl when she arrived at the Soi Dog hospital, weak and emaciated, each of her ribs clearly visible and her spine and hip bones protruding horrifically. After many different tests, it was discovered that she had a very rare medical condition which was preventing her from producing the enzymes needed to properly absorb important nutrients from food. On top of that, she had glaucoma and needed to have one of her eyes removed to end the terrible pain she was in. Columbia will need a special diet and medical treatment for the rest of her life to manage this condition. Now imagine how she would have survived if people like you hadn’t funded her rescue, medical treatment, shelter and ongoing care?
