We managed to get the lorry to deliver the 101 bags of dogfood to Raub for Meiji's dogs this morning. Many thanks to Bro Jeen Lim for offering us the free transport.
The lorry arrived 15 minutes early. I love working with professionals where time is given due respect!
Okay, let's start loading...
That's Yusop, the driver, and his assistant.
More to go...
Yusop giving instructions on how to pile the bags neatly.
101 bags all loaded, and now, covered for protection.
We thank Amy Lim for offering us this special price from the supplier (for bulk orders). The food is from Cargill.
Have a safe trip, Yusop and friend, and thank you! (This is the back lane of the shop.)
At 1.30pm, Meiji called to say the lorry had just arrived in Raub. Meiji's sister was on hand to take these photos for us....
The unloading from the lorry and the reloading into Meiji's jeep. Meiji would probably have to do 4-5 trips on her jeep to transport all the 101 bags of food up to her sanctuary. There are no proper roads up the hill, it is only accessible by four-wheelers.
I've asked Meiji to do a quick check by opening a bag of food, and she says the kibbles are good and fresh.
We would like to, once again, thank all donors who have contributed to this round of food donation for Meiji's dogs.
Meiji conveys her heartfelt thanks to everyone for their kindness and generosity.

Last but not least, thank you to everyone for having helped in your own ways, whether it is by forwarding our request or for supporting us in this fundraising.
Thank you for making this possible.

Note: The reason we do not visit often is that we do not want to be a hindrance or an inconvenience to Meiji. Looking after 128 dogs all by herself is no easy task. As the first round of feeding is over, she has to start preparing for the next round already. Very often, Meiji is down here at UPM or at the vet in Ampang with her dogs who need medical treatment. Even up at her sanctuary, she is always busy attending to her dogs. Whenever we visit, Meiji would specially pluck fruits from her orchard for us, and she has to entertain us as well. She also has to specially fetch us up and down the hill because our cars cannot travel on the rocky terrain. That is why we do not visit often, unless we can be of some help to her. Meiji lives alone in her sanctuary; there is no reception for handphones up there, and her handphone does not have a camera either. Hence, the photos you see would be the ones taken on our few trips up there in the last two years.
