Imagine if we have to draw water from the nearest river, then create a filter system by hand (like what these Water Quest participants were doing) – how many layers of soil, sand and rocks would you have to use to get a drop of clean water?

We’re lucky to live in a country with modern water treatment plants. At these plants, plenty of hard work goes behind the scenes to make sure that tonight, we can safely brush our teeth, wash our faces and drink our bedside glass of water before we go to sleep.

.

The higher the level of pollutants in our rivers, the harder our water treatment plants have to work. Sometimes they even break down and we’d face water shortage. 😢

.

So let’s not take our rivers for granted, guys. #BeatPlasticPollution 💪 and remember that #WaterDoesNotComeFromATap
