Every little bit helps.

I know the adage, "Charity begins at home" - yes, but it shouldn't stop there. The animals in Bangkok really, really need help now, and if we could spare a bit to help them, now is the time to extend this help and widen our circle of compassion to them.

While it is correct that we must help ourselves first before helping others, it also takes an altruistic and selfless heart to share a bit of our last mouthful with those who are more needy than us. Not asking us to give up everything, but just to share a bit of what we have because others are suffering more than us right now.

Please donate generously: http://www.soidog.org/en/flood-relief/

If you do not wish to use PayPal or your credit card to make the donation, send your contribution to us, and we will send it for you. Please specify clearly in an email that your contribution is for Soi Dog. We will send you the receipt from PayPal.

A message from Soi Dog Foundation:

Many thanks for your recent donation to Soi Dog Foundation.

Right now, most of the donations go directly towards saving the lives of the animal flood victims.

While the flood has had a devastating effect on the human population, its consequences for the animals are far greater.

Flood waters have reached up to 2 meters in some areas, with the majority of areas covered by 50 centimetres or more of water. For the dogs and cats, this is an extremely serious amount. It is common for the rescuers to see dogs swimming with literally no safe place of refuge, surrounded only by flood waters. Some emergency shelter facilities have even become flooded and the animals have had to be moved to other rescue centers.

If you have not seen it, you may wish to watch the full length “Soi Dogs” documentary. It is an enjoyable documentary and will give you further insights into the day to day operations at Soi Dog. The movie can be seen at:

Please, spread the word concerning Soi Dog Sponsorship Program:
http://www.soidog.org/en/sponsor-a-dog-or-cat/
This is the most effective way to help the dogs and cats living at the shelter, that have not been adopted.

All the best, and again many thanks for your support at this most critical point in time.
