Japanese Intern Vs. Wild. Song-Katibas Orang Utan Nest Survey

Ayaka Kanaike, a student from the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, Japan, recently interned with WWF-Malaysia at our Sarawak Office.

During her internship, she had the opportunity of a lifetime to assist in some of our field work – orangutan nest counting – in the Song-Katibas area.

Song-Katibas is an area under the transboundary conservation project called, Green Economy In The Heart of Borneo, funded by the International Climate Initiative of the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
