WWF-Malaysia had the pleasure to host a sharing session for a group of students from University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington, United States, at our office in Kuching, Sarawak yesterday.

The students who are currently pursuing different fields such as urban planning, deforestation, customary rights, oil palm certification development, wildlife trafficking, hornbills and clouded leopards were keen to know WWF’s work in Sarawak.

The group was led by Dr Peter Wimberger, the Director of Slater Museum of Natural History and Albertson Professor, Biology and Environmental Studies.

WWF-Malaysia’s Community Engagement Officer Henrita Samuel and Communications Officer Chan Yee Zen briefed the students on some of the conservation and community-related works being carried out in the state.
