The water is still rising, we've been through flooded areas of Bangkok today, that weren't flooded yesterday. The rescue trip we were involved with yesterday involved a 4 hour journey on the back of a truck to a place called "Dogs Island". This is an island in the middle of a huge temple complex, approx 300acres in size.
The area is so large that a local guide is needed to navigate to "Dogs Island". The dogs have lived on this island & been fed by locals for years. When the flood came, the water kept rising & the island kept getting smaller until reaching the island to feed the dogs became very difficult.
When the dogs became hungry they swam away from the island looking for food. The flood waters are now 2 mtrs deep & a lot of the dogs who went looking for food became stranded on the roofs of submerged buildings or clung to partially submerged trees.
As a result many of them have become tangled in reeds & vines.
PLEASE continue to support the efforts of our Rescue Teams to SAVE these Animals by DONATING -SHARING and CROSSPOSTING :-)
