BANGKOK FLOODING - CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO DETERIORATE - 05-11 4:32AM CEDT

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST AS A MATTER OF URGENCY

Flood waters are continuing to rise. URGENT funding in the form of donations are required. If you can help please go to:

http://www.soidog.org/en/flood-relief/

Water is rising and additional orders have been given by the government for human evacuation to higher ground. The 5 Jatujak sub districts where evacuation orders have been given have been declared disaster zones by the district's chief.

It is vitally important to understand the magnitude of the situation as it relates to animals. Flood waters are as deep as 2 meters in places. Even 50 centimeters of water coverage is too much for dogs or cats to survive.

Animals can be seen trapped on roof tops and in trees.

Rescuers continue to work 24/7.

As flood waters recede the number of animals requiring rescue and treatment is expected to grow dramatically.

Donations are URGENTLY needed for food, transport and supplies!
