Everyone is sure to have moments where they would rather just give up. I for one have been in that dilemma more times than I can count.
There was once when I was in the forest conducting a survey, and mistakenly took a turn that lead me to an extremely difficult trail. I was already hungry and thirsty, and also terribly exhausted.
The thought of just giving up and going home came naturally. But when I look back and think about all these difficult experiences, I start to miss the beautiful landscapes I see in the forest, and how the challenging terrains have shaped my decision-making skills today. I just cant imagine doing anything other than what I am doing right now. Muhammad Husaini Al-Waie bin Abu Bakar, Wildlife Monitoring Officer.
