Switzerland Makes Boiling Live Lobsters Illegal Because They Feel Pain

KUDOS, SWITZERLAND!

Many of us may have observed (with discomfort) how crabs, lobsters and frogs are housed in crowded or dirty conditions with their arms and pincers taped, just to end up in our food bowls.

A new law due to take effect across Switzerland in March will ban chefs from throwing live lobsters into pots of boiling water, forcing them to ‘render them unconscious’ first.
