Sometime last week, Dewi Kencana Putri wrote to me about four kittens whom she had rescued. The kittens had "kerengga" (huge ants) crawling all over them.
I found 4 kittens estimating 2-3 weeks old. They were covered with many kerengga. I took them and brought them home. I already give them milk ( pets own milk ), put glove filled with hot water (like the one I saw in your blog) under a blanket below them.. After their meal, I tried to stimulate their bowels but nothings came out. Each one of them. They also keep on meowing. I don't know what should I do now. I thought they are not full, so I gave them some milk. But they refuse. Some of them suckling the other. Is it normal?
About the mother cat who have gingivitis, I decided to keep her for a while. Thank you for your advice.
I advised Dewi to send the kittens to the vet for an immediate check-up (it was a Sunday) and she did that.
Here's some updates from Dewi:
This week been very busy with assignments and also the cats. The stray cat which I called Callie ( everytime I looked at her reminds me of Callie from the PK case ) has been eating very well. Base on her body, I can say that she had gain a bit more weight compare to the first day I took her home (picture taken during the first few hour she's inside my house). On the first night, I place her inside a cage at the living room. But my two cats didn't like her presence there. So I place her inside my room without the cage. So she can roam freely there. For the first two days she didn't come out from underneath the bed whenever I come into the room. But later she slowly want me to pet her. But what's made me worried is that her way is either she's on heat or she never experience someone who care about her. When she's fit enough, I will spay her and later put her for adoption.
About the kittens. all four of them are very energetic, running and climbing here and there. They had a very good appetite. My brother will help me feed them whenever I went to college. My male cat, Astro will always watch from a distance the kittens whenever we fed them. But he will hiss when one of them get near him. Pet's own milk indeed is a very good brand of kittens milk. I will put them for adoption when they can eat kibbles. Your daily blog really taught me how to raise kittens.
Here I attach few photos of Callie and the kittens which I haven't named yet.

Well done, Dewi!
