Meet Archie, a handsome redhead who is almost four years old. Archie is gentle, loving and smart. He has been living in the UK since February 2017. Sadly, his owner�s personal circumstances have changed dramatically and she is no longer able to take care of him.

Archie has taken to living in a home like a duck to water. He loves people. He especially enjoys sitting next to his humans on the sofa, gently nudging them with his mouth to encourage more pats and cuddles. He will sleep in his dog bed, but definitely prefers to snooze on a sofa.

Archie has marvellous, glossy ginger fur and soulful brown eyes. He loves long walks and behaves very well on his lead. He is treat motivated, and can sit and give paw. He is polite around meal times and will wait for permission before eating his dinner.

Archie is often nervous of other dogs he doesn�t know. He feels safest when he has plenty of space to himself. However, he does respond well to smaller, more confident dogs. If you already have one smaller dog with leadership qualities in your home, perhaps he or she could encourage Archie and reassure him?

He is used to children, but sudden loud noises can scare him. So he would do best in a home with no children, or older children who are careful around dogs. Archie has never been around cats, and so a home with feline family members is not recommended, as this might overwhelm him.
