Calling for Applications! Vacant position: Programme Assistants for the hawksbill turtle conservation programme in Melaka.

Introduction:

Regarded by many as the most beautiful of all marine turtles due to the striking pattern of their shell, hawksbill turtles have been visiting Melaka’s beaches every year to nest. This population is vital as it is the largest nesting congregation in Peninsular Malaysia numbering 400 nests every year (please read our hawksbill turtle conservation success story here: http://bit.ly/2nv9VQB ). One of WWF-Malaysia’s objectives is to protect the critically endangered hawksbill turtle population of Melaka by conducting nightly nesting monitoring during the turtle nesting season (April to September) in partnership with Department of Fisheries Malaysia. #SayangPenyuMelaka #wwfmy
