Help! We now need kitten fosterers!

Regarding the Requirements for fostering kittens, our basic criteria are;

1. Minimum age of fosterer is 18 years old

2. Must be financially capable to care for foster kitten when ill (since SPCA’s vet only have vaccination and spay/neuter treatment, we would need the fosterers to bring the kitten in care to outside vet when they are ill)

3. Willing to commit to a maximum of 2 months of foster care

4. Have basic knowledge and willing to learn on how to properly foster care a kitten

5. Able to bring back the kitten when they are due for their vaccination and spay/neuter appointment

6. Do not have allergies/medical condition which hinders the abiltiy to foster care a kitten

The animals which are qualified for fostering are;

1. Kittens under 2 months old

2. Animals with conditions, fearful, high energy or long term problem

3. New surrendered/dumped kittens who are in need of care and when SPCA is not able to accept it due to capacity/biosecurity measure problems.

We would be able to give you a brief on kitten fostering as now we are receiving a high volume of neonatal kittens and we are in need of more fosterers ASAP. Therefore it would be better for you to come and visit SPCA as we can sit down and discuss with you the necessary details and any other arrangements required.

Your willingness to help care and save the kittens lives is highly appreciated as fostering actually saves lives and give them their very first chance to live a normal, healthy and happy life.
