LONG & ARDUOUS CAT RESCUE MISSION A SUCCESS

We were recently alerted to a community cat stuck in a tree next to a HDB block at Telok Blangah Drive. The curious and adventurous cat had easily climbed the six storey high tree but was extremely nervous about the trip down.

Our Animal Rescue Officers assessed the situation and tried various ways and means to get the cat to the ground safely. They ended up going to the 6th floor of the block next to the tree and eventually reached the cat by combining three long poles. After more than four hours and with the help of good Samaritans that held a safety net wide open at the base of the tree, our officers finally succeeded at capturing the cat and bringing him to safety. The cat was thankfully found to be unharmed and subsequently released.

A very big thank you to the kind individuals who played a part in saving the cat. Here is how you too can help – http://www.spca.org.sg/services_animal_rescue.asp
