Mario Ebenau (far left) comes from a family of farmers. As a child, he spent hours playing games in the forest with his siblings. This childhood connection to nature made him dedicate his life to protecting it, as a park ranger.

�It�s an absolute privilege to live in the forest amid this diversity and get a chance to see animals face to face and enjoy the sounds of nature.� said Mario, now a ranger at the Urugua-� Wildlife Reserve, which is managed by Fundacion Vida Silvestre, a WWF partner organization.
