DOG WITH BIG “SMILE” HAS A SECRET

Everyone who meets Džeri falls in love with him, but the secret behind his “smile” is not what you might think.

“He was abandoned by his owner when he was a 7 year old boy because he had huge tumor on his leg,” rescuer Amra Sinanovic explains. “He survived the first surgery and a family offered to adopt him, but his tumor returned again. The wound did not heal properly that time and the only solution was amputation. Then the family who wanted to adopt him sadly changed their mind.”

Džeri has waited a year, wagging his tail furiously each day at any one who approaches. He is simply a grateful dog. He loves affection and gives it back one hundred fold. At last, he has been accepted by a rescue group called Wolfie’s Legacy in the UK and they will find him a forever home. Yesterday Harmony Fund made a donation toward his travel costs so that he may leave Bosnia and begin his new life.
