Adoption Spotlight - Ariel
Tweet |
This is Ariel, a local male black kitten, who was brought to the SPCA in October as the finder noticed that Ariel was unlike other kittens he was seen dragging himself most of the time.
Ariel was then seen by our consultant veterinarian who observed that his hind legs were weak and splayed. A special bandaging technique was applied, to correct his gait. He was monitored a week later and his stance seemed to improve.
As Ariel required special care, we reached out to Dr Tai Yesun of Nam Sang Veterinary Clinic (http://namsangveterinaryclinic.webs.com/), to help us. Dr Tai administered Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) treatments on Ariel, to strengthen his hinds.
After Dr Tai fostered and treated Ariel for almost two months, he is now able to use his hind legs to support himself. Ariel behaves just like any other cat. He is playful, affectionate and is able to jump as well as climb. He is now looking for a forever home. Potential adopters must be committed to bringing Ariel for periodic treatments, to maintain his quality of life.
A very big thank you to Dr Tai for her time and sacrifice.
