Soi Dog Is Teaching Children to Be Compassionate towards Animals

Soi Dog Foundation has launched its humane education programme with a workshop for teachers and administrators from four schools in Phuket. The goal is to give educators tools, knowledge, and activities to nurture children�s love and compassion for animals � starting with the cats and dogs they come across every day. The programme will be expanded to more schools in time. Teaching compassion for animals at a young age has lasting impacts. It can bring about a shift in societal attitudes towards animals, the environment, and even the global community. Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
