Penan Artisans In Kubaan-Puak Forest

See how Penan artisans from Kubaan-Puak Forest Management Unit (FMU) process rattans and turn them into beautiful craft like baskets, bangles, placemats, mats, etc. The rattans collected are processed using simple tools and natural dyes from plants found deep in the forests. WWF-Malaysia is currently working in Kubaan-Puak FMU to advocate for sustainable forest management, and community engagement and empowerment is a component of our work. Visit the Kraftangan Malaysia Handicraft Bazaar at Kuching Waterfront from November 10 till November 19.
