“Five years ago my home and the homes of my fellow activists were turned into animal shelters,” explains Maggie at Saving Macedonian Strays. “We had more than 80 animals in our homes. Since then, we started developing a shelter in our town where we take the most abused, injured, sick and animals with disabilities. At this moment we have 147 animals in our care. But we only have 350 euros ($411 dollars) on our account and a vet bill of 3000 euros to pay. We use 1.7 ton food a month and we only have food for the next 2 weeks left. I am literally begging for help.”

Our NOVEMBER FOOD DRIVE will be serving more than 71,000 meals and we’d like to send some food to this rescue squad in Macedonia. They need a lifeline and that’s our specialty. We help with food, sheltering and veterinary medicines for small but might rescue groups internationally. We are grateful for all donations and SHARES of our post in our shared mission to ‘Love the Underdog’.
