Sabah Parks, the lead agency for Tun Mustapha Park (TMP), has granted WWF-Malaysia and Google to get together to showcase the beauty, diversity, and uniqueness of Tun Mustapha Park (TMP) to the public through Google Street View on Google Maps.
TMP is the biggest marine park in Malaysia, since being officially gazetted by the Sabah state government on 19 May 2016. Located within Kudat, Pitas, and Kota Marudu districts in Northern Sabah, Malaysia and is within the Coral Triangle; covering almost 900,000 hectares of sea area.
This gazettement means that the ecological integrity of the area is maintained, and the rich marine resources are used in a sustainable manner. This in turn protects resource users who depend upon the continuous existence of these resources for survival.
