Walk the Shelter Dogs (WSD) Program

We managed to hold our first WSD yesterday with 7 volunteers. We roped in one of the dogs trainers, Mr Andy Lo, to give some tips on walking our shelter dogs.

If you cant have a dog at present, or would just like to help a rescue dog, you can join our dog walking programme.

Taking a dog for a much-loved walk away from the kennel environment, is not only about giving our dogs a physical workout; but also great for their mental stimulation. In addition a walk is a wonderful opportunity to monitor how a particular dog behaves on the leash and how he reacts when he meets other dogs and people.

Dog walking can also be good for you too! It provides all the usual benefits of physical activity but you should consider another advantage of dog walking too. People who are walking dogs often experience more social interaction with others – you might end up making new friends.

If you would like to walk our lovely dogs please private message to us. Give us your details: name and contact number.

*Please note that children and teenagers must be accompanied by an adult.
