Life is harsh for homeless dogs and cats in Asia. I was just crossing the road trying to find some food when the speeding car ploughed into me. My body was frail from malnourishment and weak from illnesses that had never been treated � can you imagine the agony that collision caused?

There are some kind souls in the world and that day, I was lucky that one crossed my path. A kind lady who witnessed the accident stopped to help me. Nobody else did. She took me to the Soi Dog shelter but my problems didn�t end there. I was in urgent need of emergency medical treatment if I was going to survive. But when you are a street dog, there is nobody to pay vet bills.

At first, I was too weak to walk or even stand. I had badly infected wounds on my shoulder and was in a great deal of pain. I was struggling to eat and the vets were very concerned that I might not make it. But with the right medical care and love, I slowly started to improve. At first, they had to hold my head up while I ate as I simply couldn�t remain upright.

After a few days of this, I was able to stand up by myself. The wounds from the accident were flushed out regularly and the antibiotics funded by someone like you killed off the last of the infection. I am now eating again and well on the road to recovery.
