My Name Is Charley. Please ADOPT Me!

LOVE LOOKS NOT WITH THE EYE BUT WITH THE MIND – please ADOPT ME!

Please email inga@soidog.org to adopt me.

I am a girl called Charley and I am a sweet, loving inspiration of a dog. I was admitted to Soi Dog’s shelter here in Phuket, Thailand after I had been hit by a car. The injury to my hind leg was so severe, that the vets had no choice but to amputate it. The doctors also discovered that I was blind and that my eyes were very painful, so they had to remove them too.

I learned to cope with being 3-legged and not being able to see and I certainly don’t dwell on the past. I am a fun and playful character who likes nothing more than to be made a fuss of. I have a smile on my face all day too. I have been told I am resilient and brave, which I suppose I am, considering what I have been through.

When visitors come into my enclosure, I yodel in delight to see them, follow their voices and am the first in line for pats. I always hope that they will take me to a walk. Although I am blind, I do well on the lead. I love affection and it would be a shame to spend the rest of my days in the shelter. It is my dream to experience family life in a home where I am loved. To be protected and looked after by good people.

Maybe you have experience of looking after a blind dog like me? Maybe you just have a lot of love to give and the time to help me adjust to life outside the shelter? Either way, I would love to hear from you.

Please email inga@soidog.org to adopt me. If you can’t adopt me, please SHARE my story.
