SEARCHING FOR FOOD, HE GOT TANGLED IN A FISHING NET

Benji cried out loudly � it was a long, mournful cry for help. He was only a few months old and had gotten entangled in a fisherman�s net while searching for food. Panicking, Benji had tried again and again to escape, which caused the net to become twisted around his neck and legs so that he could barely move.

Benji was brought to our shelter in a small cardboard box. We were shocked to see the condition of the tiny kitten inside. Benji�s right front leg was just barely attached to his body � the wound was so severe that the bone was visible. A wound festered at the top of his neck, and both hind legs were injured from the net cutting into his flesh.
