I have been receiving requests asking for help to source for fosterers for kittens, puppies, cats and dogs.
Please be advised that we can only publicise your requests, and we cannot filter nor vet those who volunteer or respond to your requests.
It remains the responsibility of the rescuer or the person who is requesting help to determine whether the fosterer meets his/her expectations and requirements.
We would also like to create a community of responsible rescuers-caregivers-fosterers and would like to request that rescuers specify the duration in which the fostering is required. Once that duration is up, rescuers are requested to take back their animals unless some prior agreement has been made with the fosterer.
Please do not expect the fosterer to rehome or adopt the animals. Please do not dump the animals on the fosterer. If this happens too often, we will run out of fosterers in no time!
And please do not use "But I'm busy, I have no time" as a reason to delay taking back the animals or sourcing for adopters. All of us are busy, but we MAKE TIME because it is our responsibility to those who have helped us and the animals we have rescued.
Please do not let the animals be victims of our weaknesses and inadequacies.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you - the Golden Rule that ensures harmony in living together.
Each of us will play our part, but we can only do what we can, within our personal limitations.
We appeal for responsibility and respect on this matter.
