I am a devotee of the BMV. I know of your meritorious work through your books at the Vihara. A great big Sadhu to you and your family. I enjoyed reading all your books especially 'do we have a choice'. My husband (Leslie Jayawardena) and I have personally reduced our intake of meat for a couple of years now and I have been encouraging our 3 children to follow suit.
I am writing to get your assistance in a situation I am currently in. About 4 months ago, a stray adult cat delivered in our home. She had a litter of 5 kittens. A male and 4 females. I have since spayed the mother and found homes for 2 of her kittens. I am now left with 3 female kittens whom I have a problem finding homes as they are females and so many people I asked turned me down because of their gender I need your help to find homes for them by highlighting on your blog. I have attached pix of the 3 kitties. They will turn 4 months on Nov 12. I have not spayed the kittens yet. From what I have read on the net I gather they can be spayed at 4 months or according to their weight. Thats the other problem I am facing. To spay 3 kittens will be a huge burden on my husband and we have already spent RM300 recently spaying the mother and now their food bill (for 4) is getting bigger too. I am wondering if you could help us here. We don't mind paying a minimal amount. I am sure once they are spayed, their chances of getting adopted are higher. I appreciate whatever help I can get to have these kittens adopted.
The first pix is of the orange kitten, Nala. She is the most intelligent, brave and fastest of the litter. When I told prospective adopters this fact, all the more they did not want her. The second pix is one half of a pair of twins. This is Yang, your average kitten, mischevious and playful. The last pix is of Yin, a quiet natured kitty but loves to wonder out of our home.
Thank you so much for your help by putting up their pix on your blog and please tell me what I should do on getting them spayed.
May the blessings of the Triple Gem be with you and your family.

We'll be sponsoring the spaying of all the three kittens at our panel vet if the vet thinks they are of age and fit enough to be spayed. The appointment will be made next week when our vets come back from their Diwali break.
