Greening The Economy Through Gaharu

A green economy is about making an economy sustainable, profitable without compromising nature and the environment and at the same time, bringing benefits to people. Here at WWF, we are starting at the grassroots level. Recently we paid a visit to Rumah Manggat in Batang Ai together with the Forest Department Sarawak. The reason? To explore their interest in a gaharu tea project that�s forest-friendly, long-term and financially rewarding to the local community. Wish us luck!
