Marago was in the wrong place at the wrong time. A car sped around a sharp bend in the road and knocked tiny Marago into the air. The driver kept going, leaving Marago yelping in pain. Luckily, the driver of the car behind him witnessed the callous hit-and-run. He pulled over, scooped Marago up, and brought him to Soi Dog for help.

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
