Alicia Sureenawathi wrote to me, requesting financial assistance for a wounded cat she rescued recently:
On 17th October, when I came back from work, a stray cat was in front of my house. There were wounds with pus on his body and near his anus. Ants and flies were around his wounds. He was very weak and didnt want to walk much, I immedietly brought him to the vet. The doctor said dressing need to be done and he must be tranqualized. I agreed on it as the wounds were quite messy and complicated. I picked him up from the vet the next day. The doctor said the wound at the anus is laprosy and she suggested to leave him a couple of days till he heals. I refused as I can do the dressing on my own since the wound has been cleaned and fur shaved. I brought him back and I am doing the dressing for him daily. There are three types of medicine for dressing (negasunt, neomycin and a bottle of pink liquid to clean the wound) and antibiotics mixture .The medical treatment cost was RM172. He is currently in the stage of recovery, the wounds are drying up. He is called Foxy..because he looks like a fox :) Currently im keeping him at my house and doing the dressing by myself as i cant afford to send to the vet. Is there any way i can get some help?
We will be subsidising RM100 for Foxy's treatment when we receive the original receipt from Alicia.
