On Monday, Soi Dog Foundation was honoured to receive a visit from Thailands Air Vice-marshal Thawatchai Srikaew, who is the official representative of His Majesty the King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun. 20 bags of dog food were donated on behalf of His Majesty the King and His Majestys dog FuFu.

Soi Dog co-founder and president John Dalley welcomed the guests, which included the Governor of Phuket Mr. Norraphat Plodthong, the Department of Livestock Development, and the Prefect of Thalang. John Dalley explained the history and mission of Soi Dog Foundation, which ultimately is to see a society without homeless animals. He thanked His Majesty the King for his donation, pointing out that it was not so much the actual food that His Majesty has donated not only to Soi Dog but to many other feeders and shelters in Thailand but the message it sends. Just like his late father, the new King is sending out a message of showing compassion and giving help to the Kingdoms stray dogs.
