Witnesses to the horrific crime managed to get video and photo evidence, and the perpetrator was arrested and tried under Thailand�s law against animal cruelty, enacted in 2014. Unfortunately, he was only fined 5,000 Thai baht (approximately 150 USD) and given 3 months in prison under probation. Soi Dog is hopeful that sentences for animal cruelty crimes will get tougher as time goes on. In the meantime, your donations enable us to care for victims of abuse like Della.
